House of Lytton was established by Frederik James Lytton-Hitchins in 1896. At 13 years of age Frederick left the family home in Knebworth in England & began a navy career which would eventually lead him to Australia. In 1896 he settled in the Southern Highlands of NSW. From these humble beginnings the House of Lytton has combined history with innovation to create a 4th generation family company which is the exclusive supplier of the Coolmeina fibre.
